Narrative:

Descending into msp on the gopher arrival. Cleared to cross ollee intersection at 9000 ft. Later clearance was changed to ollee at 11000 ft. Ollee is 25 mi north of gep VOR. For some reason, both the copilot and I looked at the approach chart and set in msp VOR frequency, which was on the same radial but 15 mi south of gep. When at 13000 ft, center said we were over ollee and missed our crossing restr. Actually they asked our altitude and said we were at ollee. Since we had msp VOR frequency set in instead of gep VOR, we thought we had plenty of time to make the crossing restr. Other factors: even though I have been to msp often, I have never flown this arrival before. I checked the crossing restr mileage very carefully, but just misread the chart. Using msp VOR frequency for the procedure and leaving gep VOR frequency off the chart, would prevent any reoccurrence.

Title: ACR DC9 FLC MISDIAL NAVAID FREQ AND CONSEQUENTLY DO NOT COMPLY WITH ATC STAR ALT XING RESTR.

Narrative: DSNDING INTO MSP ON THE GOPHER ARR. CLRED TO CROSS OLLEE INTXN AT 9000 FT. LATER CLRNC WAS CHANGED TO OLLEE AT 11000 FT. OLLEE IS 25 MI N OF GEP VOR. FOR SOME REASON, BOTH THE COPLT AND I LOOKED AT THE APCH CHART AND SET IN MSP VOR FREQ, WHICH WAS ON THE SAME RADIAL BUT 15 MI S OF GEP. WHEN AT 13000 FT, CTR SAID WE WERE OVER OLLEE AND MISSED OUR XING RESTR. ACTUALLY THEY ASKED OUR ALT AND SAID WE WERE AT OLLEE. SINCE WE HAD MSP VOR FREQ SET IN INSTEAD OF GEP VOR, WE THOUGHT WE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE THE XING RESTR. OTHER FACTORS: EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN TO MSP OFTEN, I HAVE NEVER FLOWN THIS ARR BEFORE. I CHKED THE XING RESTR MILEAGE VERY CAREFULLY, BUT JUST MISREAD THE CHART. USING MSP VOR FREQ FOR THE PROC AND LEAVING GEP VOR FREQ OFF THE CHART, WOULD PREVENT ANY REOCCURRENCE.
