Narrative:

On the morning of jul/xx/98, I was assigned to leak check the APU on aircraft xyz. I found the oil to be low, I added oil. When the oil overflowed, I stepped down to get a couple of mop heads to clean up the oil. In the process I apparently left the oil cap off.

Title: A B767-300 WAS DISPATCHED WITH THE AUX PWR UNIT OIL CAP NOT INSTALLED AND SECURED.

Narrative: ON THE MORNING OF JUL/XX/98, I WAS ASSIGNED TO LEAK CHK THE APU ON ACFT XYZ. I FOUND THE OIL TO BE LOW, I ADDED OIL. WHEN THE OIL OVERFLOWED, I STEPPED DOWN TO GET A COUPLE OF MOP HEADS TO CLEAN UP THE OIL. IN THE PROCESS I APPARENTLY LEFT THE OIL CAP OFF.
