Narrative:

A passenger came to forward galley yelling about a coffee spill on his pants. I gave him cold water soaked cloths for his thighs and pants. I tried to ask him if he was burned, but he was difficult to understand, he smelled of alcohol. He stated his daughter would be upset if his pants were stained and I was going to buy him new pants. When he finished he asked me if his pants would dry before we got to iah. I followed him to his seat and put the air vents on, directed them to his upper thighs to dry his pants. I then moved the unaccompanied minor to another seat. After the service, I asked the unaccompanied minor if she saw what happened. She told me the passenger spilled coffee on himself and said she had done it, she was in nearby seat. She told me she saw him drinking from a bottle and he 'smells like alcohol.' I asked the passenger who was meeting him in iah and tried to get his address. He told me his daughter was meeting him, but I couldn't get his address. All through interaction with the passenger he remained loud and uncooperative. The captain was kept informed of situation throughout the flight. Security met the flight and I obtained passenger address. I spoke with the daughter and explained what had happened on board. I expressed our concern that he may have burned himself. She felt he was fine, but was on medication and should not be drinking alcohol. The passenger will be flying back on our aircraft. Please make note he should not be served alcohol, should not be boarded if he smells of alcohol as happened in mia. I suggest he be escorted back with a family member for supervision, as he will be returning on our flight.
