Narrative:

The captain informed us (the flight attendants) to prepare the cabin for landing. The #2 flight attendant came upon passenger who seemed intoxicated and smelled of tequila and asked him to put his seat belt on and bring his tray table up and to give us his can of sprite. He would not comply. I also insisted that he needed to follow guidelines and that we were following procedure from the FAA. He refused to do any of the things we asked him to do. That is when #1 flight attendant (a male) also insisted that the passenger follow our requests. #1 flight attendant finally got the passenger to situation and comply with regulations. I went to the aft galley to call the cockpit on the interphone to inform them that we had an intoxicated passenger on board and security may be needed. At this time, passenger came into the galley and wanted to know who I was calling. I didn't reply. He went into the aft lavatory and started to punch the walls and door. He could not unlock the door and get out so he pushed so hard the door came out of the track. No damage was done in the lavatory. Flight attendant #1 came back to help us again and try to seat the passenger and in doing so, the passenger shoved and punched his right shoulder and arm. Flight attendant #1 sat with the passenger for landing and I sat in his seat to monitor doors for landing, I called the cockpit back immediately to inform them that we needed security and customs to definitely meet the flight upon arrival. Security arrested and charges were pressed against passenger in chicago. No alcohol was served by us to this passenger during the flight. He drank his own that he had brought on board without our knowledge.
