Narrative:

Captain called about possible expected turbulence due to thunder clouds around area. Asked to remain seated until he called us. Intense 'bump' occurred during climb out. I was strapped in aft jump seat. Turbulence so intense that screen and drain of aft G5 galley propelled into cabin. Held by cables, the screen and drain remained in G5 area. No overhead bins opened and all passenger were belted. Passenger responses: fear and then later relief. Looked to flight attendants in both cabins for reassurance.
