Narrative:

Misconduct of passenger occurred because of consumption of alcohol. They had their own bottle which was discovered during flight. Agents and flight attendants need to be more observant of possibly intoxicated passenger on boarding and they need to at least threaten to deny boarding. One of the men (there were 4) tried to trip the #1 flight attendant in the aisle because she had cut them off and confiscated their bottle. I believe he also tried to smoke in the lavatory. It is very difficult to cut off a passenger when you know you have another hour or 2 left in the flight. I think if the captain had made an appearance maybe it would have helped the situation. Also, certain markets tend to have a lot of drinkers boarding. Sju is definitely one of these. The next week, same flight, we had another problem but he was cut off without incident.
