Narrative:

We left mci for ddc and did not realize that runway 14/32 was closed. The NOTAM, that runway 14/32 was closed for painting, was overlooked by the crew. We talked to center en route and they did not mention the runway closure. We landed runway 14 at ddc. We canceled the IFR flight plan on the ground at ddc with ict FSS. FSS did not mention any runway closures at ddc. Before takeoff we received new WX and NOTAMS. Once again the crew overlooked closure of runway 14/32. We called ict FSS for IFR clearance from ddc to gck. There was no mention of a runway closure. When we took off on runway 32, we noticed a red X had been placed on the departure end of the runway. The X was placed after we had landed and was only at one end of the runway. It was my responsibility to check if the captain had overlooked any possible problems with the WX or NOTAMS. Because of this incident I have re-evaluated my preflight procedures. I have made it a priority to always check the WX and NOTAMS immediately before proceeding to the aircraft. By always performing this procedure at the same time each flight I intend to ensure that problems like this don't happen again.

Title: FLC OF BE02 MAKE LNDG AND TKOF FROM CLOSED RWY. THEY MISSED THE NOTAM.

Narrative: WE LEFT MCI FOR DDC AND DID NOT REALIZE THAT RWY 14/32 WAS CLOSED. THE NOTAM, THAT RWY 14/32 WAS CLOSED FOR PAINTING, WAS OVERLOOKED BY THE CREW. WE TALKED TO CTR ENRTE AND THEY DID NOT MENTION THE RWY CLOSURE. WE LANDED RWY 14 AT DDC. WE CANCELED THE IFR FLT PLAN ON THE GND AT DDC WITH ICT FSS. FSS DID NOT MENTION ANY RWY CLOSURES AT DDC. BEFORE TKOF WE RECEIVED NEW WX AND NOTAMS. ONCE AGAIN THE CREW OVERLOOKED CLOSURE OF RWY 14/32. WE CALLED ICT FSS FOR IFR CLRNC FROM DDC TO GCK. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF A RWY CLOSURE. WHEN WE TOOK OFF ON RWY 32, WE NOTICED A RED X HAD BEEN PLACED ON THE DEP END OF THE RWY. THE X WAS PLACED AFTER WE HAD LANDED AND WAS ONLY AT ONE END OF THE RWY. IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO CHK IF THE CAPT HAD OVERLOOKED ANY POSSIBLE PROBS WITH THE WX OR NOTAMS. BECAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT I HAVE RE-EVALUATED MY PREFLT PROCS. I HAVE MADE IT A PRIORITY TO ALWAYS CHK THE WX AND NOTAMS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE ACFT. BY ALWAYS PERFORMING THIS PROC AT THE SAME TIME EACH FLT I INTEND TO ENSURE THAT PROBS LIKE THIS DON'T HAPPEN AGAIN.
