Narrative:

On climb out out of cvg with ZID we were cleared to FL260. The controller asked us our heading (200 degrees) and gave us a turn to 220 degrees for our climb, followed shortly by further right to 260 degrees. We then received a TCASII traffic alert for traffic at FL250 at about 11 O'clock position, 10 mi, followed by TCASII RA to descend. We stopped our climb at about 24700 ft and started to descend in the right turn to 260 degrees. We visually spotted the aircraft pass above and to the left at about 3-5 mi away. The other aircraft reported they were receiving a TCASII RA and the controller said 'yeah, that's why I have you in the turn.' when our RA stopped we told the controller we were going to continue our climb to FL260. He then switched us to ZME.

Title: FLC DEVIATES FROM ALT IN RESPONSE TO TCASII RESOLUTION ALERT IN ZID AIRSPACE.

Narrative: ON CLBOUT OUT OF CVG WITH ZID WE WERE CLRED TO FL260. THE CTLR ASKED US OUR HDG (200 DEGS) AND GAVE US A TURN TO 220 DEGS FOR OUR CLB, FOLLOWED SHORTLY BY FURTHER R TO 260 DEGS. WE THEN RECEIVED A TCASII TFC ALERT FOR TFC AT FL250 AT ABOUT 11 O'CLOCK POS, 10 MI, FOLLOWED BY TCASII RA TO DSND. WE STOPPED OUR CLB AT ABOUT 24700 FT AND STARTED TO DSND IN THE R TURN TO 260 DEGS. WE VISUALLY SPOTTED THE ACFT PASS ABOVE AND TO THE L AT ABOUT 3-5 MI AWAY. THE OTHER ACFT RPTED THEY WERE RECEIVING A TCASII RA AND THE CTLR SAID 'YEAH, THAT'S WHY I HAVE YOU IN THE TURN.' WHEN OUR RA STOPPED WE TOLD THE CTLR WE WERE GOING TO CONTINUE OUR CLB TO FL260. HE THEN SWITCHED US TO ZME.
