Narrative:

On landing, with the captain flying, the tail skid touched the runway. Maintenance was contacted. The maintenance person advised that since the pop out valve was not popped, no further action was required. At that time he visually inspected the tail area and determined there was no damage. He advised us there was no requirement for a logbook entry.

Title: B767 CREW SCRAPED TAIL SKID ON LNDG.

Narrative: ON LNDG, WITH THE CAPT FLYING, THE TAIL SKID TOUCHED THE RWY. MAINT WAS CONTACTED. THE MAINT PERSON ADVISED THAT SINCE THE POP OUT VALVE WAS NOT POPPED, NO FURTHER ACTION WAS REQUIRED. AT THAT TIME HE VISUALLY INSPECTED THE TAIL AREA AND DETERMINED THERE WAS NO DAMAGE. HE ADVISED US THERE WAS NO REQUIREMENT FOR A LOGBOOK ENTRY.
