Narrative:

Svced #1 and #2 engines. Added 3 quarts to #2 engine at XA00. About 6-8 hours later, the gate mechanic found oil dripping from the #2 engine. After further investigation he found the oil cap unsecured. I fully recall securing the #2 engine oil cap around XA00. The aircraft sat for many hours before being taxied to the gate. Therefore it is my opinion something may have happened in between the 6-8 hour window after I svced the engines with oil.

Title: A B757-200 INCURRED A DELAY DUE TO #2 ENG LEAKING OIL CAUSED BY THE ENG OIL TANK FILLER CAP FOUND UNSECURED AFTER ENG OIL SVCING.

THEREFORE IT IS MY OPINION SOMETHING MAY HAVE HAPPENED IN BTWN THE 6-8 HR WINDOW AFTER I SVCED THE ENGS WITH OIL.
