Narrative:

After landing on runway 28 at the greater rochester international airport on a wet runway the controller (local tower) instructed us to hold short of runway 22. We had to do evasive maneuvering and braking in order to do this due to the landing length requirements of our aircraft. The controller never asked us prior to landing if we could accept a hold short (lahso) clearance as required per the FARS. We would have not accepted a lahso clearance due to our high landing speed and contaminated runway. An air carrier jet was landing on runway 22 at the same time as we were landing on runway 28. This occurrence, situation, happened a week previous at roc also. ATIS advertised lahso in effect but the controller is still required by far to ask if we can accept this type of operation. If we did not stop in time, we would have had a conflict with jet since they had just touched down on runway 22 at high speed.

Title: A LNDG SWIII, AN SA227, IS GIVEN A LATE HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22 AFTER HE HAS TOUCHED DOWN ON RWY 28 AT ROC, NY, AND ATTEMPTING TO STOP ON A SLIPPERY SURFACE. ATIS HAD ADVERTISED THE LAHSO IN EFFECT BUT THE TWR CTLR NEVER ASKED IF THE PIC COULD COMPLY. THE CTLR INTERVENED ONLY WHEN HE REALIZED ANOTHER ACR JET WAS LNDG ON RWY 22.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 28 AT THE GREATER ROCHESTER INTL ARPT ON A WET RWY THE CTLR (LCL TWR) INSTRUCTED US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22. WE HAD TO DO EVASIVE MANEUVERING AND BRAKING IN ORDER TO DO THIS DUE TO THE LNDG LENGTH REQUIREMENTS OF OUR ACFT. THE CTLR NEVER ASKED US PRIOR TO LNDG IF WE COULD ACCEPT A HOLD SHORT (LAHSO) CLRNC AS REQUIRED PER THE FARS. WE WOULD HAVE NOT ACCEPTED A LAHSO CLRNC DUE TO OUR HIGH LNDG SPD AND CONTAMINATED RWY. AN ACR JET WAS LNDG ON RWY 22 AT THE SAME TIME AS WE WERE LNDG ON RWY 28. THIS OCCURRENCE, SIT, HAPPENED A WK PREVIOUS AT ROC ALSO. ATIS ADVERTISED LAHSO IN EFFECT BUT THE CTLR IS STILL REQUIRED BY FAR TO ASK IF WE CAN ACCEPT THIS TYPE OF OP. IF WE DID NOT STOP IN TIME, WE WOULD HAVE HAD A CONFLICT WITH JET SINCE THEY HAD JUST TOUCHED DOWN ON RWY 22 AT HIGH SPD.
