Narrative:

Both airplanes were straight and level 500 ft below variable overcast at approximately 1000 ft MSL. I did not see other aircraft until it was in my 10 or 11 O'clock position (traveling wbound). I was flying sbound. No evasive action was taken (or needed) on the part of either aircraft.
