Narrative:

On apr/xx/98, did a daily check on aircraft xyz, I remembered I may not have reinstalled oil cap and closed access door to engine. Aircraft left and at next stop of crew preflight check, door was missing. They had to temporarily repair door opening and install cap. Aircraft continued on its route.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED WITH AN ENG OIL TANK SVC CAP MISSING AND THE ENG OIL SVC DOOR LEFT OPEN RESULTING IN LOSS OF ENG OIL AND INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE ACCESS DOOR.
