Narrative:

I was asked to make a professional observation regarding runway markings at the bdl airport. During the landing roll on runway 33, we crossed runway 24. Runway 24 was closed for local maintenance. As we crossed through the intersection, I observed no lighting fixtures for lahso runway 24, the longer runway. I did see markings as I rolled over them, painted southeast on runway 24 and parallel to the runway 24 that were 'washed out,' not readily visible if it would be required. I do not know if they were of standard size because of the wear. I hope this report will promote better markings. No incident or accident or other aircraft were involved nor an ATC clearance or instruction compromised -- just an orientation.

Title: AN SF340 PIC RPT ON THE LACK OF PROPER LAHSO LINES AT BDL FOR RWY 33, HOLD SHORT RWY 24 AND LAHSO LIGHTING FIXTURES ON RWY 24, LAHSO RWY 33.

Narrative: I WAS ASKED TO MAKE A PROFESSIONAL OBSERVATION REGARDING RWY MARKINGS AT THE BDL ARPT. DURING THE LNDG ROLL ON RWY 33, WE CROSSED RWY 24. RWY 24 WAS CLOSED FOR LCL MAINT. AS WE CROSSED THROUGH THE INTXN, I OBSERVED NO LIGHTING FIXTURES FOR LAHSO RWY 24, THE LONGER RWY. I DID SEE MARKINGS AS I ROLLED OVER THEM, PAINTED SE ON RWY 24 AND PARALLEL TO THE RWY 24 THAT WERE 'WASHED OUT,' NOT READILY VISIBLE IF IT WOULD BE REQUIRED. I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY WERE OF STANDARD SIZE BECAUSE OF THE WEAR. I HOPE THIS RPT WILL PROMOTE BETTER MARKINGS. NO INCIDENT OR ACCIDENT OR OTHER ACFT WERE INVOLVED NOR AN ATC CLRNC OR INSTRUCTION COMPROMISED -- JUST AN ORIENTATION.
