Narrative:
The B757 climbed through the assigned altitude. The mode C indicated 400 ft high. I alerted the pilot and he descended. I don't know why this happened.

Narrative: THE B757 CLBED THROUGH THE ASSIGNED ALT. THE MODE C INDICATED 400 FT HIGH. I ALERTED THE PLT AND HE DSNDED. I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS HAPPENED.
