Narrative:

I was on a solo cross country to palatka and then on to craig. I thought I had the airport in sight, though I did not. So craig tower said you need to turn left for downwind for runway 5. I was doing s-turns waiting for aircraft to get off the runway. Tower came back and said 'go around.' I did. I landed and taxied back. Took off heading for dab, fl. I had thought that I was cleared to take off, though when I got back to dab, the flight supervisor at the FBO said they (craig tower) called and said that I was not given clearance to take off. I was told to hold short.

Narrative: I WAS ON A SOLO XCOUNTRY TO PALATKA AND THEN ON TO CRAIG. I THOUGHT I HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT, THOUGH I DID NOT. SO CRAIG TWR SAID YOU NEED TO TURN L FOR DOWNWIND FOR RWY 5. I WAS DOING S-TURNS WAITING FOR ACFT TO GET OFF THE RWY. TWR CAME BACK AND SAID 'GO AROUND.' I DID. I LANDED AND TAXIED BACK. TOOK OFF HDG FOR DAB, FL. I HAD THOUGHT THAT I WAS CLRED TO TAKE OFF, THOUGH WHEN I GOT BACK TO DAB, THE FLT SUPVR AT THE FBO SAID THEY (CRAIG TWR) CALLED AND SAID THAT I WAS NOT GIVEN CLRNC TO TAKE OFF. I WAS TOLD TO HOLD SHORT.
