First officer of an FK10 failed to make an altitude crossing restr due to programming the FMC too late to make the restr fix. After informing ARTCC controller of their mistake, the controller cleared them to descend immediately to a lower altitude.

Narrative:
Location: 30 mi east of oxi. During descent to cross 30 mi east of nox I realized we were not on a profile to make the restr. I immediately contacted ATC and informed them, and was reclred to a lower altitude, 17000 ft with an expedited descent request and continued on the descent.
