Narrative:

Passenger complained of severe pain. He had broken ribs that were healed but apparently broke again when he bent over in the aisle to pick up a plastic cup causing him severe chest pain and difficult breathing. Oxygen was administered. We paged for a doctor and 3 passenger responded to assist. 2 flight attendants assisted the passenger with oxygen while doctors attended passenger. Took blood pressure, etc, and discussed with purser that a landing would be necessary so the passenger could be taken to the hospital. We then landed in moncton and paramedics transported the passenger to the hospital.

Title: FLC OF A B767-300 DECLARED A MEDICAL EMER AND DIVERTED TO LAND DUE TO A SICK PAX. DOCTORS ABOARD DID WHAT THEY COULD FOR THE PAX BUT HE NEEDED TO BE TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PARAMEDICS MET ACFT.

Narrative: PAX COMPLAINED OF SEVERE PAIN. HE HAD BROKEN RIBS THAT WERE HEALED BUT APPARENTLY BROKE AGAIN WHEN HE BENT OVER IN THE AISLE TO PICK UP A PLASTIC CUP CAUSING HIM SEVERE CHEST PAIN AND DIFFICULT BREATHING. OXYGEN WAS ADMINISTERED. WE PAGED FOR A DOCTOR AND 3 PAX RESPONDED TO ASSIST. 2 FLT ATTENDANTS ASSISTED THE PAX WITH OXYGEN WHILE DOCTORS ATTENDED PAX. TOOK BLOOD PRESSURE, ETC, AND DISCUSSED WITH PURSER THAT A LNDG WOULD BE NECESSARY SO THE PAX COULD BE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. WE THEN LANDED IN MONCTON AND PARAMEDICS TRANSPORTED THE PAX TO THE HOSPITAL.
