Narrative:

Captain was taxiing aircraft for takeoff when he ran the left outboard slat/wing over the top of a freshly plowed snow bank. This caused snow to go up on top of the slat and wings. We jointly decided to return to the gate to have our company deice crew remove the snow with glycol. This was done and the captain wanted to continue taxi for takeoff. I suggested to the captain we should have the slat/wing inspected by maintenance. He refused so we continued uneventfully to our destination. In hindsight I should have been more forceful and insisted on an inspection.
