Narrative:

Was advised by first officer on mar/mon/98, had been contacted by pit check airman that aircraft he and I were flying on red eye from sfo to clt on feb/sun/98, XA00 am, had a logbook entry noting mud on right tire. He advised that at no time had we had an excursion off of runway or txwys leaving or arriving. My recollection is exactly the same. I can only assume they have the wrong aircraft or crew or due to heavy construction at sfo (on taxiway B that night I believe) or clt and heavy rains, that debris was on txwys.
