Narrative:
While sightseeing haleakala at XA45 local at 9500 ft along the south rim (1/2 mi off) I made a left turn (180 degree turn from east to west) to show my right side passenger the crater. During the turn I noticed a C210 (which was not on frequency) trying to overtake me on my left at less than 1/4 mi. Our aircraft missed by approximately 300 ft as I altered course right, he altered course left into the national park.
