Narrative:

2 days in a row we were assigned frequency 121.8 as the ground frequency on the east side of the dfw airport. I questioned ground about this and they remarked that we should be on 121.85 this was wrong. So we switched back to 121.8. I stated that we were confused as to which ATC frequency ground wanted us on. He said to 'stay here' meaning 121.8. Is there a ground control coordination problem when the east is on 121.8 and 121.65? It appeared that way because I noticed aircraft exiting the air carrier ramps attempt to taxi to taxiway K then stop. Please advise.

Title: AN ACR MD80 FLC RPT THAT OCCASIONALLY THE WRONG GND CTL FREQ IS ASSIGNED ON THE E SIDE OF THE DFW RAMP.

Narrative: 2 DAYS IN A ROW WE WERE ASSIGNED FREQ 121.8 AS THE GND FREQ ON THE E SIDE OF THE DFW ARPT. I QUESTIONED GND ABOUT THIS AND THEY REMARKED THAT WE SHOULD BE ON 121.85 THIS WAS WRONG. SO WE SWITCHED BACK TO 121.8. I STATED THAT WE WERE CONFUSED AS TO WHICH ATC FREQ GND WANTED US ON. HE SAID TO 'STAY HERE' MEANING 121.8. IS THERE A GND CTL COORD PROB WHEN THE E IS ON 121.8 AND 121.65? IT APPEARED THAT WAY BECAUSE I NOTICED ACFT EXITING THE ACR RAMPS ATTEMPT TO TAXI TO TXWY K THEN STOP. PLEASE ADVISE.
