Narrative:

Cruising at 5000 ft MSL in an aircraft with the pressurization deferred, we asked for a slow descent to alleviate any discomfort. As the nose was allowed to drop, the airspeed crept above 200 KTS at 4700 ft MSL. As this situation was being corrected, mem approach asked for our airspeed. He told us we were going too fast and we told him we were already 'aware and slowing down.' this situation lasted less than 10 seconds and did not create or contribute to any conflict or problem. Note: from the time we checked on frequency to when we switched to a new frequency, the controller appeared annoyed and irritated. He was curt with everyone he spoke with.
