Narrative:

Captain was flying north on J55. First officer confirmed passing rdu on J55 and notified captain of upcoming turn on J55 at zitto intersection. Prior to zitto, first officer set up inbound course to hpw and notified captain. Crew was concerned with turbulence and WX at destination and alternates. At zitto (turn point), the crew were reviewing arrival routing (RBV1) WX on arrival, alternates and NOTAMS. ATC (ZDC) asked about position versus filed J55 and crew initiated turn to resume course. Concerns about WX and turbulence distraction crew from timely turn on J55 at zitto. Crew was aware of turn but lost track of time due to distrs.
