Narrative:

Snow coverage on the ground hid any clues as to where the runway was. The only bare surface was mistaken for overrun of runway 16. After consulting the airport diagram for the approximate touchdown area, I landed on runway 34. Upon rollout I could not clear the runway because no exits wide enough had been plowed. After calling unicom for assistance, I was told I had landed on the taxiway. At no time were we informed the runway had not been plowed or to watch for anyone on the taxiway. I had canceled IFR with toronto radio and was on a visual approach. No navaids were tuned because there is no precision approach for runway 34. While sitting on the taxiway, the runway next to us was still not discernible as a usable surface of an airport, let alone an area for landing. Immediately after the plows cleared a way for us to taxi to the ramp area, they plowed across the north side of the airport to runway 16/34. There they spent more than 1 hour to clear it of snow. This could have been totally avoided if unicom had been required to tell us the runway had not been plowed and/or notamed closed for snow removal.

Title: FLC OF A BRITISH HAWKER, BAE135, SERIES 800, (HS25), INADVERTENTLY LANDED ON A TXWY SINCE THE RWYS WERE NOT DISTINGUISHABLE DUE TO THE SNOW ON THE ARPT AND THE RWYS TXWYS HAD NOT BEEN PLOWED. FLC COMPLAINED THAT THERE WERE NO ADVISORIES ON THE ARPT RWY TXWY CONDITIONS FROM ATC, OR THE ARPT UNICOM ADVISORY, PRIOR TO LNDG.

Narrative: SNOW COVERAGE ON THE GND HID ANY CLUES AS TO WHERE THE RWY WAS. THE ONLY BARE SURFACE WAS MISTAKEN FOR OVERRUN OF RWY 16. AFTER CONSULTING THE ARPT DIAGRAM FOR THE APPROXIMATE TOUCHDOWN AREA, I LANDED ON RWY 34. UPON ROLLOUT I COULD NOT CLR THE RWY BECAUSE NO EXITS WIDE ENOUGH HAD BEEN PLOWED. AFTER CALLING UNICOM FOR ASSISTANCE, I WAS TOLD I HAD LANDED ON THE TXWY. AT NO TIME WERE WE INFORMED THE RWY HAD NOT BEEN PLOWED OR TO WATCH FOR ANYONE ON THE TXWY. I HAD CANCELED IFR WITH TORONTO RADIO AND WAS ON A VISUAL APCH. NO NAVAIDS WERE TUNED BECAUSE THERE IS NO PRECISION APCH FOR RWY 34. WHILE SITTING ON THE TXWY, THE RWY NEXT TO US WAS STILL NOT DISCERNIBLE AS A USABLE SURFACE OF AN ARPT, LET ALONE AN AREA FOR LNDG. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PLOWS CLRED A WAY FOR US TO TAXI TO THE RAMP AREA, THEY PLOWED ACROSS THE N SIDE OF THE ARPT TO RWY 16/34. THERE THEY SPENT MORE THAN 1 HR TO CLR IT OF SNOW. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN TOTALLY AVOIDED IF UNICOM HAD BEEN REQUIRED TO TELL US THE RWY HAD NOT BEEN PLOWED AND/OR NOTAMED CLOSED FOR SNOW REMOVAL.
