Narrative:

After being cleared for takeoff on runway 9L at pbi, I started my takeoff roll. As my aircraft was accelerating I noticed a challenger starting to cross the runway, from right to left at taxiway F. The person in the right seat of my aircraft ( a non rated pilot) tried to contact the tower 3 times, there was no response. Simultaneously, I aborted the takeoff. As the other aircraft was exiting the runway he stated that he was informed that I was holding in position, and he was cleared to cross the runway. At that time I asked the controller to confirm that I was cleared for takeoff. He stated that I was cleared. I believe that the problem was caused by a communication error between the tower and ground controllers and that the appropriate actions were taken to avoid the potentially disastrous situation.

Title: LOSS OF SEPARATION WHEN A CL601 CROSSES RWY 9L WHILE A BE30 WAS ON TKOF ROLL.

Narrative: AFTER BEING CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 9L AT PBI, I STARTED MY TKOF ROLL. AS MY ACFT WAS ACCELERATING I NOTICED A CHALLENGER STARTING TO CROSS THE RWY, FROM R TO L AT TXWY F. THE PERSON IN THE R SEAT OF MY ACFT ( A NON RATED PLT) TRIED TO CONTACT THE TWR 3 TIMES, THERE WAS NO RESPONSE. SIMULTANEOUSLY, I ABORTED THE TKOF. AS THE OTHER ACFT WAS EXITING THE RWY HE STATED THAT HE WAS INFORMED THAT I WAS HOLDING IN POS, AND HE WAS CLRED TO CROSS THE RWY. AT THAT TIME I ASKED THE CTLR TO CONFIRM THAT I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF. HE STATED THAT I WAS CLRED. I BELIEVE THAT THE PROB WAS CAUSED BY A COM ERROR BTWN THE TWR AND GND CTLRS AND THAT THE APPROPRIATE ACTIONS WERE TAKEN TO AVOID THE POTENTIALLY DISASTROUS SIT.
