Narrative:

While descending to get under 1900 ft MSL at 2200 ft the controller stated 'you should be below 1900 ft MSL.' according to both my GPS (IFR certificated) and VOR positioning, I was still outside of the 1900 ft MSL area. Maybe I misinterped what the controller said. I did not hear him say I was in class B.

Title: SMA PLT DSNDING TO REMAIN BELOW CLASS B AIRSPACE IS TOLD BY ATC THAT HE SHOULD BE BELOW HIS PRESENT ALT. HIS GPS AND VOR SHOW HIM TO BE OUTSIDE CLASS B.

Narrative: WHILE DSNDING TO GET UNDER 1900 FT MSL AT 2200 FT THE CTLR STATED 'YOU SHOULD BE BELOW 1900 FT MSL.' ACCORDING TO BOTH MY GPS (IFR CERTIFICATED) AND VOR POSITIONING, I WAS STILL OUTSIDE OF THE 1900 FT MSL AREA. MAYBE I MISINTERPED WHAT THE CTLR SAID. I DID NOT HEAR HIM SAY I WAS IN CLASS B.
