Narrative:

On jan/xx/98, aircraft xyz, I adjusted the main landing gear left door roller spring adjustment. I cleared the log item and dispatched the aircraft. I later realized that it could have been an rii item (required inspection item) and a second signature was required. I advised technician center of the problem, and it was taken care of. The gear door was functionally checked at the time of the adjustment. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the maintenance manual was used to accomplish the spring adjustment and did not specify that an inspection was required.
