Narrative:

I was the left seat pilot at the controls of flight, a B737-700 training flight departing oak for the pmd area. Check airman (PIC) was in the right seat. We had just leveled at 10000 ft (assigned) when we received a TCASII RA instructing us to 'climb, climb.' we began the commanded climb and immediately realized an aircraft was above us (I believe at 11000 ft). Bay approach queried us, and after leveling at 10500 ft we descended back to our previously assigned altitude. Further TCASII displays were normal for the flight.
