Radar vectors assigned, climbing to FL270. ATC instructed us to stop climb at FL220 -- complied. Then given heading of 180 degrees. While in turn, TCASII TA, then RA command to climb. Cleared conflict at FL250. While returning to FL220, ATC requested a climb to FL270. Conflict resolved with minimum separation of 4 NM. ATC controller's voice changed from female to male during episode. Believe ATC training was in progress.

PIC RPTS CONFLICT WITH UNKNOWN ACR CLRED WHEN LEVEL AT FL250. ATC ISSUED NEW CLRNC CLB TO FL270. PIC STATES THAT DURING EVENT, NEW CTLR INTERVENED, POSSIBLY TRAINING INSTRUCTOR.
