Narrative:
Transition from group 1 to group 2 aircraft I completed IOE. Per company instructions the check airman signed off my flight record and I began line flying per company instructions, then learned that the 121 group 1 FAA inspector's signature did not constitute approval for 121 group 2 aircraft. I halted my line flying until a group 2 FAA observation ride and signature could be completed and was completed successfully.

Narrative: TRANSITION FROM GROUP 1 TO GROUP 2 ACFT I COMPLETED IOE. PER COMPANY INSTRUCTIONS THE CHK AIRMAN SIGNED OFF MY FLT RECORD AND I BEGAN LINE FLYING PER COMPANY INSTRUCTIONS, THEN LEARNED THAT THE 121 GROUP 1 FAA INSPECTOR'S SIGNATURE DID NOT CONSTITUTE APPROVAL FOR 121 GROUP 2 ACFT. I HALTED MY LINE FLYING UNTIL A GROUP 2 FAA OBSERVATION RIDE AND SIGNATURE COULD BE COMPLETED AND WAS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY.
