Narrative:

I left my assigned altitude of FL250 to go down to FL244 because we got a tcacsii RA. My first officer had the aircraft in sight and we passed about 700 ft under the aircraft. The altitude separation would have been 700 ft if we had stayed at FL250. We descended to FL244 so the separation was greater than 1000 ft.
