Upon flap retraction ht during departure climb, flaps were selected up. Flaps retracted then stuck at approximately 5 degrees. Emergency checklists followed with no recovery of flap control. Slats operated normally. An uneventful partial flap landing followed with a return to las. Emergency equipment was standing by at request of ATC. Landing weight below gross landing weight.
