Narrative:

On descent, the captain called and asked that the #1 flight attendant (me) come to the cockpit. I did so. He said he wasn't sure the nose gear was down and a yellow warning light was on. He thought it was best to err on the side of caution and that I should prepare the cabin for a planned emergency landing. We circled, burning off fuel near psp, while we 4 flight attendants went through a 10 point checklist with the passenger to prepare them for a possible emergency landing in case the nose gear collapsed. The passenger were calm and cooperative, because of informative PA's made by the captain and myself. At 50 ft from the ground, the flight attendants yelled 'brace.' we landed without incident and pins were immediately put into the nose gear so we could safely taxi to the gate and deplane. We did so.
