Narrative:

From our ramp we requested to taxi for takeoff. There is only 1 entrance/exit to the cargo ramp. Ground told us to pass behind an air carrier DC9. We immediately told ground that we were 'blocking the alley in the ramp,' but the DC9 continued taxiing and entered the ramp, pulling over to his right side of the ramp. There appeared to be enough room between the DC9 on the left and cargo containers on the right. It was late in my duty day. We were tired. I should have called our ramp office and asked for 2 wing walkers. I chose to taxi on my own. We didn't hit anything, but it was too close. Next time I will take the 5 mins to wait for wing walkers.
