Narrative:

We were holding short, ready for takeoff, operating as an air carrier freighter. Tower was busy and cleared another aircraft on to hold. My captain pushed up the power. I wasn't at all sure they cleared us, so I queried the tower and found it was for another, similar call sign. The captain stopped. I felt our nose might have been over the line. The captain felt we were not. They then cleared us on to hold, with nothing said about it. The big lesson I re-learned was to use the readback before moving the jet!
