Narrative:

The C402 was being used as a jump ship for parachutists. In accordance with the local procedures, I called FSS to announce our intentions and to notify them when the jumpers landed. On several occasions, FSS had a hard time receiving our xmissions. Another jump ship was also having the same problem. We made several xmissions to FSS until they responded. FSS complained that we were not following the correct radio procedure. However, I believe that their radio equipment was not working well on that day. Note: the other jump ship lost communications with FSS early so I acted as a relay for them until I could not reach FSS.
