Installing aircraft registration certificate, removed airworthiness by error. Correct action taking installed exception docket YYY regulatory docket xyz. Found on routine inspection while aircraft was being svced at gate. Location of airworthiness certificate and aircraft registration not noted on paperwork for installation. Both aircraft registration and airworthiness same size and same color. To prevent the recurrence of this situation, suggest color code airworthiness certificate. Time factor involved in this installation at gate due to on-time performance of aircraft and other aircraft maintenance.

FOUND ON ROUTINE INSPECTION WHILE ACFT WAS BEING SVCED AT GATE. LOCATION OF AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE AND ACFT REGISTRATION NOT NOTED ON PAPERWORK FOR INSTALLATION. BOTH ACFT REGISTRATION AND AIRWORTHINESS SAME SIZE AND SAME COLOR. TO PREVENT THE RECURRENCE OF THIS SIT, SUGGEST COLOR CODE AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE.
