Narrative:

Took off on runway 25R at lax, lax-ogg. Climbing to 13000 ft, just beyond coastline, we got a traffic alert on an aircraft approximately 500 ft beneath us. At that time socal departure said 'climb to 13000 ft.' we were climbing at +/-3000 FPM. It seems socal is crossing traffic with minimum of separation.
