Narrative:

Frg CTAF was contacted approximately 10 NM east of frg at 2500 ft MSL when authority/authorized frequency change by ny approach while departing isp class C airspace. Upon initial TA request over CTAF, piper cherokee in traffic pattern performing touch and goes at frg advised runway 32 in use. With cherokee in sight and no other aircraft visible or reported in traffic pattern, a pattern entry 45 degrees to a right downwind runway 32, frg, was executed and advised over CTAF. Pre-landing checklist was commenced abeam runway threshold, power was reduced. Convinced landing checklist was complete, landing was attempted and aircraft contacted runway surface with landing gear up, sliding to a stop just right of centerline and approximately abeam taxiway D1, runway 32 intersection, at frg. Airport rescue services were on the scene immediately, I self announced over CTAF disabled aircraft on runway 32, so aircraft in pattern would not attempt landing, cherokee acknowledged. With the assistance of airport rescue services the airplane was lifted with inflatable bladders onto a dolly and towed to local FBO, frg. Aircraft damage consists of bent propeller blades, worn inboard flap corners, and scraped paint on forward underside of fuselage. No report to NTSB required.

Narrative: FRG CTAF WAS CONTACTED APPROX 10 NM E OF FRG AT 2500 FT MSL WHEN AUTH FREQ CHANGE BY NY APCH WHILE DEPARTING ISP CLASS C AIRSPACE. UPON INITIAL TA REQUEST OVER CTAF, PIPER CHEROKEE IN TFC PATTERN PERFORMING TOUCH AND GOES AT FRG ADVISED RWY 32 IN USE. WITH CHEROKEE IN SIGHT AND NO OTHER ACFT VISIBLE OR RPTED IN TFC PATTERN, A PATTERN ENTRY 45 DEGS TO A R DOWNWIND RWY 32, FRG, WAS EXECUTED AND ADVISED OVER CTAF. PRE-LNDG CHKLIST WAS COMMENCED ABEAM RWY THRESHOLD, PWR WAS REDUCED. CONVINCED LNDG CHKLIST WAS COMPLETE, LNDG WAS ATTEMPTED AND ACFT CONTACTED RWY SURFACE WITH LNDG GEAR UP, SLIDING TO A STOP JUST R OF CTRLINE AND APPROX ABEAM TXWY D1, RWY 32 INTXN, AT FRG. ARPT RESCUE SVCS WERE ON THE SCENE IMMEDIATELY, I SELF ANNOUNCED OVER CTAF DISABLED ACFT ON RWY 32, SO ACFT IN PATTERN WOULD NOT ATTEMPT LNDG, CHEROKEE ACKNOWLEDGED. WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF ARPT RESCUE SVCS THE AIRPLANE WAS LIFTED WITH INFLATABLE BLADDERS ONTO A DOLLY AND TOWED TO LCL FBO, FRG. ACFT DAMAGE CONSISTS OF BENT PROP BLADES, WORN INBOARD FLAP CORNERS, AND SCRAPED PAINT ON FORWARD UNDERSIDE OF FUSELAGE. NO RPT TO NTSB REQUIRED.
