Narrative:

I am the main cabin galley flight attendant. I am usually in the galley during flight setting up carts or cleaning and putting things away. I had no idea anyone was smoking in the lavatories until I heard our purser make another PA telling people not to smoke. Later, the same PA, only this time a reference was made about someone smoking in the lavatories. This was not occurring in main cabin, but I'd heard that business class lavatories were involved. Later, another PA from the captain. Later again, the purser made a PA saying people would have to ask permission to enter lavatories. I tried to monitor them when I wasn't busy, but I had a lot of work to do. Close to the last couple of hours in the flight, when people were lining up to use the main cabin lavatories, I smelled cigarette smoke by the aft l-hand lavatories and told #6 cabin attendant. He said he knew who it was, and I continued putting away the carts and working. As we deplaned, I noticed the police (or uniformed people) at the 1L door jetbridge. I also saw the woman who I'd been told had been smoking. I don't recall ever having seen her near the lavatories in the back, but I am usually so busy in the galley, I don't see what goes on at all times. Our only concern was that if she's so desperate for a cigarette, and will continue to hide in the lavatories and smoke her cigarettes, where will she put out her cigarettes? One of our attendants even warned her husband about his wife smoking in the lavatories, but still she continued.

Title: 2 CABIN ATTENDANTS ON AN ACR B767 RPT THAT A PAX IGNORED THEIR ATTEMPTS TO CURTAIL HER SMOKING IN THE LAVATORIES.

Narrative: I AM THE MAIN CABIN GALLEY FLT ATTENDANT. I AM USUALLY IN THE GALLEY DURING FLT SETTING UP CARTS OR CLEANING AND PUTTING THINGS AWAY. I HAD NO IDEA ANYONE WAS SMOKING IN THE LAVATORIES UNTIL I HEARD OUR PURSER MAKE ANOTHER PA TELLING PEOPLE NOT TO SMOKE. I TRIED TO MONITOR THEM WHEN I WASN'T BUSY, BUT I HAD A LOT OF WORK TO DO. CLOSE TO THE LAST COUPLE OF HRS IN THE FLT, WHEN PEOPLE WERE LINING UP TO USE THE MAIN CABIN LAVATORIES, I SMELLED CIGARETTE SMOKE BY THE AFT L-HAND LAVATORIES AND TOLD #6 CABIN ATTENDANT.
