Narrative:

On assigned arrival into lga, received a direct clearance and speed reduction while during radial changeover on arrival. Missed the appropriate VOR, realized error, and corrected before call from ATC. When ATC advised it appeared 'we were off course,' they gave heading to 160 degrees. I had already established myself on this heading to correct. There appeared to be no error in conflict.

Title: AN ACR MLG FLC WERE GIVEN A CLRNC DIRECT TO A VOR, BUT THE CAPT MISSED SOME OF THE INFO AND STARTED TOWARD THE WRONG VOR.

Narrative: ON ASSIGNED ARR INTO LGA, RECEIVED A DIRECT CLRNC AND SPD REDUCTION WHILE DURING RADIAL CHANGEOVER ON ARR. MISSED THE APPROPRIATE VOR, REALIZED ERROR, AND CORRECTED BEFORE CALL FROM ATC. WHEN ATC ADVISED IT APPEARED 'WE WERE OFF COURSE,' THEY GAVE HDG TO 160 DEGS. I HAD ALREADY ESTABLISHED MYSELF ON THIS HDG TO CORRECT. THERE APPEARED TO BE NO ERROR IN CONFLICT.
