Narrative:

On approach to mci we were assigned heading 010 degrees, 4000 ft, and 190 KTS. The autoplt was in use in heading mode and altitude armed. In the turn to 010 degrees the autoplt exceeded 30 degrees bank and stick shaker went off. Maximum power was applied and positive control of aircraft was taken. At our weight 183 KTS was flaps 2 minimum. We were at flaps 2 190 KTS when shaker went off. Autoplt was written up and the roll control in heading mode was deemed inoperative in mci.
