Distraction during discussion with check airman. Flew out wrong radial about 15 NM. Corrected back toward correct radial and was questioned by ATC. Incident occurred during annual line check ride.

Narrative: DISTR DURING DISCUSSION WITH CHK AIRMAN. FLEW OUT WRONG RADIAL ABOUT 15 NM. CORRECTED BACK TOWARD CORRECT RADIAL AND WAS QUESTIONED BY ATC. INCIDENT OCCURRED DURING ANNUAL LINE CHK RIDE.
