Narrative:
Captain was hand flying aircraft, was about 200-300 ft below assigned altitude when given a course change which required an entry to the GPS units. Altitude was overshot by 200-300 ft. Another aircraft in vicinity (FL280) received a TCASII warning. No visual contact made.

Title: WDB ACFT IN CRUISE, HAND FLYING DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED ALT BY 300 FT CAUSING ANOTHER ACFT TO RECEIVE A TCASII ADVISORY.
Narrative: CAPT WAS HAND FLYING ACFT, WAS ABOUT 200-300 FT BELOW ASSIGNED ALT WHEN GIVEN A COURSE CHANGE WHICH REQUIRED AN ENTRY TO THE GPS UNITS. ALT WAS OVERSHOT BY 200-300 FT. ANOTHER ACFT IN VICINITY (FL280) RECEIVED A TCASII WARNING. NO VISUAL CONTACT MADE.
