Narrative:

Prior to departure from dfw, I received paperwork informing me that federal agent in seat xx was armed and traveling alone. On arrival at jfk, one of our passenger was arrested by several federal agents as he entered the terminal after deplaning from the aircraft. The carry on bag of this passenger was searched and a revolver was discovered in it. The obvious question is 'how and where did this passenger pass through security without having his weapon detected?' no one on my crew knew that this passenger had a weapon aboard. I was never informed during the flight that this passenger had the weapon. Did the federal agents who met the flight know the passenger could be armed? If so, why was I not notified of this fact during the flight? I do not know what role if any that federal agent played in this event.
