Narrative:

The truck carrying freight arrived 20 mins late with our cargo. After quickly loading the cargo, a final walkaround was completed. After the #2 engine was started and the battery recharged, I checked the freight truck which had stalled beside the aircraft as it left. It appeared to be clear of the aircraft so the #1 engine was started. Subsequently, as taxi commenced, the horizontal stabilizer struck the truck. The engines were then shut down and the damage inspected. I feel that over rushing to try to keep schedule was the main factor contributing to this problem, and urge all pilots to slow down enough to keep all phases of flight thorough and safe.
