Narrative:

An F1 was in pattern on runway 17L, turning base. Several aircraft appeared to be in the pattern at elmdale airpark located 1 mi northeast of abi airport. I was not in communication with any of the aircraft at elmdale (they are not required to be). I advised the F1 that there appeared to be pattern traffic at elmdale. I then observed traffic on BRITE and out of the window that appeared to be turning directly toward the F1. The F1 then said he had traffic and was turning toward runway. This situation occurs quite often, and I feel it is a dangerous situation, especially when high speed military aircraft are in our traffic pattern.

Title: A MIL F1 ACFT ON DOWNWIND LEG COMES IN CLOSE PROX TO ACFT IN THE TFC PATTERN FOR AN ADJACENT ARPT. THE CTLR ISSUED TFC TO THE F1 RESULTING IN A TURN TOWARDS THE RWY. THE CTLR CLAIMS THIS SIT OCCURS OFTEN.

Narrative: AN F1 WAS IN PATTERN ON RWY 17L, TURNING BASE. SEVERAL ACFT APPEARED TO BE IN THE PATTERN AT ELMDALE AIRPARK LOCATED 1 MI NE OF ABI ARPT. I WAS NOT IN COM WITH ANY OF THE ACFT AT ELMDALE (THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE). I ADVISED THE F1 THAT THERE APPEARED TO BE PATTERN TFC AT ELMDALE. I THEN OBSERVED TFC ON BRITE AND OUT OF THE WINDOW THAT APPEARED TO BE TURNING DIRECTLY TOWARD THE F1. THE F1 THEN SAID HE HAD TFC AND WAS TURNING TOWARD RWY. THIS SIT OCCURS QUITE OFTEN, AND I FEEL IT IS A DANGEROUS SIT, ESPECIALLY WHEN HIGH SPD MIL ACFT ARE IN OUR TFC PATTERN.
