Narrative:

While maneuvering over downtown ft wayne for photo of park I flew closer to a high rise building than anticipated. Since the aircraft was a helicopter I believe I was still legal and safe. However, this taught me to fly a high recon prior to maneuvering. High recons were taught in training for only off-field lndgs. Flying a high recon would also allow the pilot to spot towers or other obstacles not shown on the sectional chart.
