Narrative:

On routine scheduled flight from las to lax, we were cleared from the vicinity of gfs direct to civet. Approximately 55 NM northeast of civet, after a pre departure clearance to FL240, and an instruction to maintain 310 KIAS, we were cleared to descend via the civet arrival. This arrival was recently (sep/xx/97) changed from a civet cross of 18000-14000 ft to 17000-14000 ft. We crossed civet about 17800 ft. Controller made no comment. First officer pointed out the discrepancy after block in at lax.
